Drawing # 001 & Drawing # 002

Drawing # 001 shows the wiring harness that extends from
under the tank. It is this harness that the leading inside deflector's form,
shown as point A in drawing # 002 must be
hooked around and over the harness.
This view is the correct layout of your installation.
Please take notice of the red encircled area.
This is where you will place your tie wraps in a crossed pattern through the
hole in the frame.
Do Not secure the Tie Wraps through the deflector's eyelets at
this time. The securing of the Tie Wraps will be preformed by you
as the last part of installation, before replacing your seat. The Tie Wraps
are only for holding the deflectors in position while your seat is being
reinstalled.
They will also aid in preventing Theft and or loss of your
deflectors.

Take note of the red
circled area of drawing # 004
A. is part of the frame of the Dyna.
B. is the location of the rubber "U" channel's position
after allowing the deflector to lay upon the wire harness that comes out
from under the tank.
The trailing end of deflector is laying upon the left side cover's
surface, just after the coil cover.
C. is the leading edge of A.
When the deflector is at this phase of the install.
Apply a downwards pressure with your finger to allow point B to go under
A. When pressure is applied.
Pull back on the deflector, towards the rear of your bike. The deflector
can slide back under A approx. a 1/4 inch or so till it stops. This will
in fact hold the deflector in the required position needed for
completion of your installation.

Take notice of the vertical over-hanging edge of the deflector pictured
below.
This is pulled against your side cover when securing the provided Tie Wraps.
The Tie Wraps are to be pulled to snug the deflectors in their positions. DO NOT
over tighten the Tie Wraps. Some Dynas are equipped with a cosmetic chrome
cover.
The deflector's vertical over-hanging edge must be secured over that as well.
